Static Camera : Fixed-Point Visual Inspection for Any Surface.
What it is
The Static Camera is HausBots’ fixed-position visual payload, a 4K camera with built-in lighting, mounted via a universal EX fitting that can be manually positioned and angled before a survey. Once set, it records a continuous, repeatable visual pass of the surface as HB2 or HB3 moves across it, rather than being steered live by an operator.
It’s the simplest visual payload option, and the one most often carried alongside a quantitative sensor, UT/UTM, AUT, GPR, or half-cell potential, so a survey delivers both a visual record and measured data in the same pass.

Use case
Usually paired with a quantitative payload (UT, GPR, half-cell potential) to give every reading a visual match. Best for tanks, silos, and pipework where a fixed, well-lit record matters more than zooming in on one spot, for that, use PTZ instead.

Static vs PTZ Camera
Static and PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) are the two camera payload options, the right choice depends on what you need from the visual record.
Static
Fixed once positioned. Gives full, automatic, repeatable coverage of everything the robot passes over during the survey, nothing is missed, but nothing is singled out either.
PTZ
Steerable live during the survey. Trades that automatic completeness for operator-directed close-up inspection of a specific area once something’s been flagged. See the dedicated PTZ Camera page.
